birth
It's not pain. it's power.
When you think you are in labor, you will call The Birth Center, and a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) will assess if you are ready to come to the center. At the center, the CNM performs a preliminary examination, and clients are generally admitted when they are dilated five to six centimeters and the onset of labor has been confirmed. You will be assisted during labor with position changes, use of the water birth tub, and/or birth stool. You and baby will be continuously monitored by the CNM. When labor is impending, a Registered Nurse (RN) will provide additional assistance with delivery and postpartum care. The average stay at The Birth Center after delivery is three to four hours.
